  14. 1.  My experience is that people new to C++ have a lot of trouble 
  15. understanding compiler error messages (I am thinking of Borland C++ here;  I 
  16. have no experience with Microsoft C++).  I would appreciate it very much if 
  17. anyone with knowledge of or experience with error detectors like Lint but for 
  18. C++ would share their knowledge or experience with me.  What products exist?  
  19. How helpful are they?

  21. 2.  Does anyone know of a compiler with significantly better error messages 
  22. for beginning programmers than other compilers?
